CARTHAGE, MO--- Humane Society organizers are reaching out for help, encouraging you to pay a visit to one of their 75 dogs or 45 cats up for adoption. Director Glenda Erwin says it is normal for them to be at full capacity this time of year and over the Summer they will continue to see more and more animals.
The shelter has a wide range of animals to choose from. Other than adopting, there are a number of different ways you can help including financial donations and dropping off cleaning supplies. Workers say the adoption process is very simple. It is just a matter of choosing your pet, filling out one piece of paper, and paying a fee of $60 for a cat and $75 for a dog.
