JOPLIN, MO.--- A painted tree on 20th Street in Joplin is decorated with dozens of ornaments, bird feeders, and signs. The tree was painted with colorful rings several months ago, and the items have been slowly added to it since then. Many drivers say seeing the tree lifts their spirits.

"I love it. I used to live here and I was passing and it just feels like inspiration when you see it," states Tammi Smith, Branson Resident.

The signs on the tree say "Help Feed The Birds." If you have any extra feed, feel free to keep this random act of kindness going. A spokes person from the group responsible for painting the "Joplin Spirit Tree" say they were not involved in this effort.

If you know who was responsible for adding these feeders, help solve the mystery on our KODE/KSN Facebook page.
