Lawrence County Mailbox Bashings

LAWRENCE CO., MO--- Tips led deputies to two juveniles involved in the damage of mailboxes and metal signs. Deputies began responding on January 22nd to numerous reports of damaged mailboxes.

Witnesses indicate the damage began in the late hours of January 21st or the early morning hours of January 22nd. Over 30 mailboxes have been reported or found damaged so far, and the property loss is estimated to more than $1,500.

Deputies have forwarded 8 criminal cases and have 14 identified victims. The investigation is ongoing to see if others are involved.
