JOPLIN -- Freeman Health System sponsored their first 'Walk With a Doc' Saturday. After hearing some tips on how to lead a healthy lifestyle from the doctor, the group hit the trails for a little exercise. Event organizers say walking with a friend can make exercising fun.

"You just have fun as you do something together, and that brings people out and gives them motivation to be here, and so it;s better to do it in a group than by yourself," says Dr. Angela Langer.

This program was also part of the National Park Service's 'A Call to Action' campaign, which aims to reconnect people with their state parks.
