Beginning in September, officials with the Missouri Department of Conservation will be teaching a FREE monthly class at the Walter Woods Conservation Area, which is just south of Joplin.
Each month a new topic will be discussed including subjects such as deer hunting, bass fishing, winter bird watching and much, much more.
The classes will be held the first Tuesday evening of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required and class size is limited to 40 people.

Sept. 3 - Whitetail Deer Hunting: A to Z
Oct. 1 - Waterfowl Wonders: Missouri
Wetland Management, Duck I.D.
and Hunting Tactics
Nov. 5 - Bird Basics: Intro to bird
feeding, providing habitat and
bird watching
Dec. 3 - Christmas Vittles: Wild game
dishes and Dutch over treats
