Salvation Army Relief

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Salvation Army of Joplin has set up two disaster relief centers in Carl Junction in response to the extensive tornado damage there. Residents needing any kind of assistance may see Salvation Army caseworkers at Carl Junction High School or Skateland in Carl Junction. Mass feeding centers have been established at these locations and meals and beverages are being served 24 hours a day to residents and public service workers. Mobile relief teams will be making their way through damaged areas on Monday to bring relief to area residents in need. The Salvation Army of St. Louis and Cape Girardeau will also be sending mobile vehicles to the area on Monday at the request of Captain Gary Laws of Joplin. For more information, call the Salvation Army headquarters at (417) 624-4528.
