WEBB CITY, MO - Cerebral Palsy of Tri-County held it's Independence Day parade this morning. It's an annual event for kids with special needs to have fun while celebrating the Fourth of July.

Nearly 50 kids dressed up in patriotic colors for the event. They showed off some crafts and enjoyed the weather while parading around the block this morning.

"The special needs of our children mean that we sometimes have to do ordinary things in a different way, but we still have as much fun," says Dr. Christy Graham, Executive Director of Cerebral Palsy of Tri-County. "We watch to make sure that we are not too hot and that everybody, no matter what their capabilities are gets to participate and have a good time," Graham explained.

After the parade the kids enjoyed some cool treats from the ice cream truck.
