JOPLIN, MO.---  A $1600 grant allowed library administrators to purchase 6 brand new tablet computers. They bought 2 Kindle's, 2 Nook's and Ipad, and an Android Tablet. The purpose is for library staff to become efficient in downloading E-books on each of these devices. This will allow them to better serve the increase in people checking out electronic books during the summer.

"Now that we have an assortment of the different E-Readers, our staff will be trained in the us of the E-Readers, and then when the people come in for assistance, hopefully we will be able to give them better service and faster service in getting the books downloaded to their device," states Jackie Gague, Library Director.

The Barton County Library and the Neosho Newton County Library also received money from the grant.
