JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin High School administrators donated about 26 boxes of books to the Joplin Public Library. The books were part of an excess of donations that continue to pour in after the tornado. Library workers say many of the books are brand new and will be added to their children and teen collections.

"It's really great. I'm really glad that Debbie thought of us because it helps us stretch our dollars as far as we can, and it's just really nice to get them," said Cari Rerat, Joplin Public Library.

Librarians estimate the donation will save them more than $500 since they normally budget that amount of money to pay for summer reading program incentives.
