Inmate Escape in Vinita

VINITA, OK.--- James Maxwell, 50, escaped from the Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center in Vinita this morning. He is considered armed and dangerous. Maxwell was serving a 12 year sentence for assault and battery of an officer.

N.O.C.C. workers noticed he was missing at 7:30 this morning, but won't say how he made his escape. He is 6'2 with black hair and brown eyes. Maxwell has several tattoos including a dragon, skull, and viking on his arms. Authorities ask you to call the correctional facility if you have any information on his whereabouts.
