Adult Christmas Adoption Tree

JOPLIN, MO.--- The Jasper County Public Administrators Office has set up this Adult Christmas Adoption Tree in the Jasper County Courthouse Lobby. It matches adults in need with volunteers from the community. From now through December 21st, people can pick out a name from the tree, and pick up a gift for an adult in need, then leave it under the tree in the courthouse lobby.

"They also like to have gifts to open at Christmas, and especially these folks that my office is guardian for, they just don't have anybody, and so it's up to us to let them know we remember them at Christmas as well," Angie Cassavecchia, Jasper County Public Administrator.

This is the 4th year for these "Adult Christmas Adoptions", and the first year organizers have added a personal hygiene item drive to the fundraiser.
