JOPLIN, MO.--- 12 is Justus Roderick's lucky number today. His house address is 1212, the date is 12-12-12, oh, and he's also celebrating his 12th birthday.

"It's super exciting because it's a really special day, and I get to do a lot of stuff and it's really fun," states Justus Roderick, Birthday Boy.

The birthday boy's parents and 2 brothers turned the College Heights Christian School lunchroom into a celebration for Justus and his classmates.

"We knew we just had to make a big deal out of it, since its never gonna happen again, and it's just an exciting time for our family," states Heather Roderick, Justus's Mom.

His mom got creative by bringing 12 items to the party, all tying back to the number 12. The highlight of the party happened at 12:12 as Justus and his friends marked this momentous occasion in history.

"It wasn't a complete surprise, but we wanted to make sure it was a big deal and something he and his friends wouldn't forget," states Heather.

Justus says he spent years waiting for this moment and couldn't be happier to celebrate his birthday with his family, classmates, and teachers.
