humanesociety2008-05-18-1211168941.jpgLast weekend's storms didn't just leave people with nowhere to go. Missouri Humane Society officials say they still have about 40 pets at their temporary shelter. The storms have displaced all of these animals, and humane society officials want to find the owners. Shelter officials originally planned to close the shelter Monday. But they say they'll re-evaluate the situation depending on how many animals are still there. Shelter officials are also providing pet food to people who have lost everything. Officials say they delivered 7,000 pounds of food, just Saturday. Now, workers say they're in desperate need of cat food. If you want to donate you can bring food to the Joplin or Carthage Humane societies.
