The dogs were picked up at the Carthage Humane Society by workers at a shelter in Kansas City.
The Carthage shelter is the newest member of Pet Smart's "Rescue Waggin'" charity.
The group moves animals from overcrowded shelters to larger facilities with more visitors looking to adopt.
But all animals in the transport must be screened for health and behavior issues before they are moved.
"Two of our kennel techs that are certified assessors so they can assess dog behavior so we don't send anything on the truck that's vicious or going to bite somebody or something real shy, they assess their behaviors," says Carthage Humane Society Interim Director Glenda Erwin.
Dogs moved by the "Rescue Waggin'" are usually adopted within a week of arriving at another shelter.
