Hampshire Pet Products in Joplin celebrated ten years in business Firday by attempting to break the world record for the largest dog biscuit ever baked.

The current world record is held by a company in England at about 230 pounds.

But Hampshire officials say they didn't just want to break the record.

The original goal was to bake a 400 pound biscuit.

They not only made that goal, but the final biscuit weighed in at 617 pounds, and has been certified by Guinness as the largest one ever baked.
