18 Starving Animals are Rescued From a Property in Vernon County.

Earlier this week, the Sheriff's Department received calls from concerned residents regarding the dead and starving horses on the property.

The HSMO is assisting with the investigation and rescue.

All 18 animals are being transported to the Humane Society of Missouri's Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, Missouri.

Seven deceased horses were found on the property by the sheriff.

Charges are still pending at this time.
