NEOSHO---Two years ago the pet handler was cut due to budget short falls. City manager Troy Royer has now combined the job with another open position, Assistant Code Enforcer. The future city employee will take care of stray animals while making sure buildings are within regulation. The animal control officer will use a truck and equipment the city already owns. City hall is currently accepting applications. Officials expect to fill the position by April.
