The Joplin Humane Society began the second day of Pet-A-Palooza Saturday.

The goal for the  two day event was to adopt out 250 pets.

Cats and dogs were, of course, the most popular pets up for adoption.

The Joplin shelter was one of 50 Humane Society sites in the nation taking part in the adopt-a-thon.

Shelter managers say when a pet is adopted, everyone wins.
