GREENBUSH, KS -- Students from across Kansas will now be able to use NBC news stories in their classrooms.

The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center at Greenbush is partnering up with NBC Learn to provide the service.

It will allow schools full access to over 12,000 of NBC's archived news videos.

About 500,000 Kansas students, teachers and parents will be able to view the footage.

The goal is help kids better understand the past through visual means instead of text books.

"That's not how kids learn today they want to see it, they want to verify it, they want to experience it and NBC Learn is just a tool for teachers to take that next step to really engage kids," says Mike Bodensteiner, Executive Director of the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center at Greenbush.

All videos are mapped to fit specific subjects and learning areas.
