JOPLIN, MO -- Gas prices keep dropping all around the country.
But, Missouri has some of the lowest.
It's basically a necessity- Gas.
"As a company we have two vehicles and we drive around 1,400 miles a week," says Cris Schulz.
So, while Schulz delivers pastries to stores, saving on fuel is constantly on her mind.
"We check it everywhere we go in every town to try to make sure we're getting the best price," says Schulz.
One of the best prices nationwide is in Joplin, Missouri. Here, gas costs $3.13.
"Feels great. Actually, it feels really good not having to spend $50 just to fill you're car up. You can use that money else where," says Jesse Funk.
The national average is currently $3.60; $0.16 cheaper than it was three weeks ago.
"They're helping a lot. Especially getting ready to go on vacation and driving to florida. It's going to help a lot at saving money," says
Maryl Noirfalise. In fact, she's even splurging on this year's trip.
"We're going about 5 hours further," says
Noirfalise.Whether a road trip or work trip, the general consensus is that the plunging gas prices are a good break from the harsh numbers once on gas station signs.
"I definitely hope they keep going down. That's be nice," says Schulz, fueling up.
