Area Christian leaders say their thoughts and prayers are with the Islamic community. Tim Chambers is Pastor at Christ's Church of Joplin. He is in shock over the incident. He believes, it is important believers of different faiths to get along, and he says if the fire was caused by arsonist, there is absolutely no excuse for an act of such malice.

"As a citizen, I would hope that the perpetrators would be identified and prosecuted. As a Christian and a leader in the church, I will sincerely hope that perpetrators don't claim to be followers of Jesus," states Tim Chambers, Christ's Church of Joplin, Pastor.

Chambers hopes Joplin residents reach out to members of the Islamic community, and provide support during this difficult time. The council of American Islamic Relations is offering a $10,000 reward for information on the fire today.
