WEBB CITY -- Dozens of families hit the fields in search of the ultimate real Christmas tree at Bridgestone Farms Saturday. Picking the right tree is no easy task, though, as people inspected each branch searching for any inperfection. Some people believe a real Christmas tree is the best way to bring the Christmas spirit in to the home. Experts say if you are going to use a live tree to make sure it has plenty of water every day. Place the tree away from any fireplace or wood burning stove. They also suggest you don't place the tree under an overhead vent, and use a timer to turn the Christmas tree lights off throughout the day to keep the bulbs cool and reduce the chances of a fire.
