PARSONS, KS.--- Parsons Police Officers saturated 16th and Main streets on Friday the 16th to increase seat belt awareness. That night they stopped more than 100 cars.

There were 16 seat belt violations. Officers gave out 1 citation after noticing a child was not buckled up properly.

This safety check was the 2nd of a new nighttime seat belt enforcement at the Parsons Police Department. The monthly program will run through May.
