JOPLIN, MO.--- Salvation Army officials say people impersonating their organization are going door to door in Joplin, soliciting for donations.

Callie Hudson of the Salvation Army says there are no bell ringers after Christmas, and that group members never go door to door asking for money.

"If you see someone you think might be impersonating the Salvation Army with the color red or with our logo, you can always call us here and ask if it seems suspicious," states Callie Hudson, Salvation Army.

Hudson says always ask for proper identification before making a donation to a charity.
