JOPLIN, MO--- Artilius Jordan entered the plea in Jasper County Court Wednesday. His case is set for February 13th. Jordan is charged with First Degree Assault, accused of stabbing another man in the torso.

Joplin Police say initially Jordan told investigators that he was sleeping at the time and knew nothing about the assault. The stabbing happened earlier this month on South Pennsylvania St. in Joplin. Officers say they found Stanley Watkins suffering from several stab wounds to the torso. Watkins was treated at a local hospital.
