LAMAR, MO. --- Sheriff Mitchell Shaw paid the county treasurer $945 in cash yesterday.

A state audit of Barton County finances released Monday, showed the sheriff was unable to account for this money earmarked for undercover "drug buys."

The county treasurer says the funds will go back into the account marked for federal forefeiture.

We placed more than one call to Shaw to find out where he got the money, but our calls were not returned.
