MCDONALD COUNTY, MO.--- 19 McDonald County cheerleaders traveled to Orlando, Florida for the Universal Cheerleading Association World Tournament.

The team faced off against students from as far away as China and Ecuador, before taking home the silver. The coach says their success at the tournament will give them something to cheer about for many years.

"It was just an experience for them to be part of something bigger than themselves, and represent our school and know that there is opportunities for them past their high school cheerleading career," said Heather Frossard, McDonald County Cheer Coach.

Two of the students took 1st place in the co-ed stunting competition.
