And with the struggling economy, many pet owners are having less money to spend on their furry friends. Ben Leavens is a Veterinarian at the Main Street Pet Care in Joplin. He is worried families will have less money to spay and neuter their pets. The pet population is a continuing problem.

The average cost to spay and neuter your pet is around $100 dollars. If you would like to participate in the low cost spaying and neutering clinic, it will be held December 8th thru the 12th from 7am to 3pm. It is by appointment only. The cost will be between 30 to 90 dollars. To set up an appointment you can call 417-623-3642.
