Action 12 Takes Action: 22 Dogs Die In 2 Months, Trying To Figure Out Why!

What she thought was a good deed, turned into a nightmare. Janice Eminger, a dog breeder for over 10 years, says she was just trying to help someone get into the breeding business.
Now, 2 1/2 months later, many of her dogs are dead, leaving a lot of unanswered questions.
She was approached in October by a women from Oklahoma who wanted to start a breeding business. Janice ended up giving the women 27 dogs to get started. Now the only dogs that Janice could find out of the 27, were two Chihuahuas and two miniature pinschers.
Melissa Spencer who took the dogs told Janice the dogs died of worms. But something didn't add up when Janice followed up with the Veterinarian.
"Well i got ahold of this Vet and he said 'I never saw your dogs.'"
Desperate for answers, Janice reached out to anyone who might be able to help. She says, "We got ahold of animal control in Miami, we called Ottawa County, we emailed the ASPCA. We also contacted the Humane Society ." She says the only group that could go check on the dogs was Ottawa County. They did in fact check on the dogs, and couldn't find any signs of the dogs being hurt.
According to Oklahoma law, as long as the animals have food, water, and some kind of shelter, there isn't much more then can do to help.
We tracked down Melissa Spencer at her home to get some answers. Not only did she ask us to leave and refuse to comment, she also called authorities on us.
Janice requested the bodies of the dead animals so she could determine what happened. The only thing she received in return, were the AKC papers to what used to be healthy living dogs.
