JOPLIN, MO -- A four state organization is trying to find hundreds of homes for some four legged friends.

It's called Petapalooza.

The Joplin Humane Society is partnering with eight other organizations and even a horse rescue.

The goal is to get 250 pets adopted between March 30th and March 31st.

Different food vendors will be at the event along with activities for the kids.

"We want people to kind of look away from other alternatives to getting animals because they need to realize how many wonderful animals are here at the shelter already and other rescue groups," Joplin Humane Society Shelter Manager Lysa Buehler says.

The event is from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday at 140 Emperor Road in Joplin.
