By: Ryan Marsh
Updated: May 7, 2012
Joplin's newest fire station is located on west 32nd street in Joplin.

Firefighters moved into the facility last month.

The station comes equipt with six bedrooms, an excercise room, a decontamination room, and a safe room.

Joplin fire chief Mitch Randles says the completion of this station wouldn't have happened without the safety tax voters approved in 2006.

Not only did they have a ribbon cutting they also had a special hose uncuppling to mark the occasion.

Fifteen new firefighters were also added to the department and started today.
