JOPLIN - Officials says a foul smell near the Jasper Products Facility in Joplin will be gone in a couple days.

A part in their pre-treatment mixing tank broke on Monday. That created a sewage-like smell.

Jasper Products makes soy based drinks.

Joplin and Duquense officials say they received numerous complaints from people in the community.

Yesterday the broken piece was fixed. The City of Joplin says the company has been given ten days for the smell to completely go away. They're expected to meet that deadline.
