DIAMOND, MO.--- George Washington Carver Park Rangers hosted a Naturalization Ceremony for 37 men and women. There were citizenship recipients from 27 different countries, Including Russia, New Zealand, and Cameroon. A judge from the U.S. District Court presided over the ceremony. Family members, friends, and co-workers filled the room to support the new U.S. citizens.
"Hopefully I can embrace the freedom and the motto basically life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We have to go that route. I feel blessed. That's what I feel today," states Sudhagar Subramanian, U.S. Citizen.
The citizenship recipients also had the chance to immediately become registered voters after receiving their certificate.
