Joplin Humane Society in Need of Doggy Foster Homes

Updated: January 15, 2013
JOPLIN, MO.--- The Animal Adoption and Resource Center in Joplin is needing people to foster some of its medium and large dogs. The shelter recently took in more than 250 dogs, and the shelter simply does not have enough room to house that many animals. They rely on people opening up their homes to help.

"It's just something special. It's something hard to describe. A lot of people will be upset by that first foster leaving but a couple weeks they'll be back and say they just have to get another pet. Such an awesome thing and they want to help. That's a great way to help," states Lysa Buehler, Shelter Manager.
If you would like to foster a dog you can visit the shelter at 140 East Emperor Lane. Food and a crate will be provided to you.
