JOPLIN, MO.--- Best Buy and Target employees usually see long lines of people wanting to return items. The lines usually last all day. This year, that wasn't the case, with people gathering around the customer service in spurts. Managers say people might be waiting to return items and expect long lines later in the week and this weekend.

"We don't have a whole lot of people for a minute and then a whole crowd of people come in all at once, so that's what we're dealing with so far today," states Shawn Giddens, Best Buy Representative.

Best Buy managers say they are seeing a lot more exchanges than returns. You don't need a receipt to return or exchange your gift but store managers say you do need to have your ID. You have 90 days to return items at Target and you can take things back to Best Buy through January 24th.
