Davis Chosen to Chair State Veterans Committee

JOPLIN, MO-- A local lawmaker will head up the Missouri state committee dealing with veterans' issues. State Representative Charlie Davis was named the chairman of the veterans committee for the House. Davis served in the military himself and says its important to support veterans. He plans to sponsor a bill this session helping veterans deal with child custody issues.

Rep. Davis said, "Six year navy veteran, love the military. Our country is as good as it is today because of those men and women who have served and are serving overseas and here on our soil."

Davis has also been chosen to serve on the utilities and small business committees this session.
