JOPLIN, MO -- A restaurant helps raise funds and messages of support for an Asbury family involved in a deadly car crash.

Chick-fil-a in Joplin is accepting monetary donations and get well cards for the Washburn family.

They were driving on I-44 near Sarcoxie Saturday when a car headed the wrong way struck the family's vehicle head on.

The father died in the accident.

The mother and three daughters are currently being treated in a Kansas City hospital.

Two have woken up, while the other two have yet to respond to treatment.

Chick-fil-a will send all donations and cards to the Olathe Chick-fil-a which will then hand them over to the family.

"So far this morning we've had a number of individuals come in and pour out their emotion, most people I know haven't even met this family," says Joplin Chick-Fil-A manager Ray Dunaway.

A restaurant employee who knows the family started the project.
