JOPLIN, MO.--- Cher Jiang moved to Carthage a year ago after she got married. She is a children's book illustrator and has been published in more than 20 books.

Her art is on display inside the Post Memorial Art Reference Library in Joplin. She started drawing at a young age and instead of asking for the coolest toys, all she ever wanted was a pen and paper.

"My mom gave me a pen and paper. You can draw and play by yourself," says Cher Jiang, Artist. Her art will be on display until the end of the month.

The Post Memorial Art Reference Library is in the back of the Joplin Public Library.
