JOPLIN, MO.--- Area high school students are looking at what Missouri Southern State University has to offer. 43 high school students from the organization "Tomorrow's Leaders Today" participated in the event.

They were able to look at opportunities in nursing, respiratory care, dental hygiene, medical technology and radiology. Medical professionals were available to discuss what it's like to be in the fields. Organizers say it's a great chance for Missouri Southern administrators to showcase their programs.

"They can understand who we are and what we have available for them. When they're trying to decide where to get a quality education, they'll know that Missouri Southern does provide that," said Tia Strait, Dean, School of Health Sciences.

The event was also sponsored by the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce.
