CARTHAGE, MO.--- Carthage Bright Futures is getting a new home. The Carthage School Board approved the purchase of a building on 800 Grant Street. The vacant building was owned by Ozark Tri-County Health Care Consortium.

The building was sold to the school board for $1. The former medical facility will soon house the Bright Futures Program. The assistant superintendent says switching to this building will more than double their current size.

"This new building will give us room to expand the program give us more room for volunteers to do their work," said Dr. Mark Baker, Assistant Superintendent.

The Carthage School District will take control of the building on April 1st and then look at what needs to be done to remodel it.
