JOPLIN, MO--- The event is organized by 6th through 12th graders in the first united methodist youth group.  Almost 22 thousand items ranging from antiques to electronics will be sold. Funds raised will be used for mission trips to Colorado and Tulsa.

Church leaders say the event is a great way for students to learn about the value of a dollar.  Barry Sanborn, the First United Methodist Youth Minister says, "It's like running a small business for a couple of days.  It's really neat that the students enjoy doing that and it creates a feeling like we worked to go on a summer trip."

The sale will continue tomorrow in the church's gym from 7:00 to 3:00.  First United Methodist is located at 501 West 4th Street.
