Questions remain today as to why federal investigators raided a Kansas manufacturing plant.

Kansas health officials joined police and agents with the EPA to raid a dog treat plant yesterday.

Treat-Co is based in Wichita and it is one of the largest natural dog treat distributors in the nation.

The manufacturer buys beef by-products from all over the state of Kansas.

EPA officials say they're investigating environmental and other alleged crimes at the company.

But they would not elaborate further.

More than ten federal criminal investigators were reportedly on scene with state health officials yesterday.

Company representatives have declined to comment on the situation.
