NEOSHO, MO---All 11 of Neosho's sirens will be replaced and an additional one will be installed at Morse Park. The new sirens will be part of a two-way system, meaning they will be hooked up to a computer and monitored individually. The upgrades will cost the city $100,000. Fire Chief Mike Eads says the new sirens will help the city to meet new state communications guidelines. Officials expect they will be installed in about 3 months and will be paid for through city tax revenue.
