JOPLIN, MO.--- Members of "Surviving Spouses" Support Group met for breakfast this morning at Colonel's Pancake House in Joplin. The group is sponsored by Mason and Woodard Funeral Home. The funeral home director says the group plans fun outings several times a month. She says members find it to be an uplifting support system.

"Getting out with people and sharing interests and learning to like other things can be very therapeutic to someone who's had a loss," states Sonja McWilliams, Mason & Woodard Funeral Home Director.

The group currently has around active 30 members. Anyone interested in joining can find out more information by calling the funeral home at 417-624-7355.
