JOPLIN, MO--- Before 9:30 Wednesday night, Joplin Police Department received a call on a robbery at 66 Food Mart on west 7th Street. Officials say the suspect pointed a hand gun at a clerk and demanded money, but appeared to get panicked and left without cash or merchandise.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a University of Missouri logo and blue pants turned inside out. He was also wearing a ski mask. Authorities say they are reviewing surveillance tapes to get a better description of the suspect. No injuries were reported and only employees were inside the store at the time of the incident.
