Jasper County Restitution Board Appointment

By: Melanie Huonker
Updated: March 19, 2013
CARTHAGE, MO.--- Jasper County commissioners approved the appointment of Don Richardson and Jason Spangler to the Restitution Board. They join Brian Christmas, Delmar Haase, and Leslie Jones.

The board meets once a year to give out money from restitution cost fees to the sheriff's office and the prosecuting attorney's office. The money is used for law enforcement related purchases.

"It's just something that if we don't have money in an area that's budgeted, we would have a need. It's nice to know that the money is there that that money is there to be able to fund that project," said Sheriff Randee Kaiser, Jasper County.

The board has more than $55,000 to give out.
