JOPLIN, MO.--- This year's Mother Road Marathon is set for October 13th. Anyone interested can sign up online or at the Joplin Convention & Visitor's Bureau located at city hall. Registration is $40 for the half marathon and $60 for the full race.
Prices will go up the closer we get to October. Last year, more than 17 hundred runners participated in the 26 mile run course that stretches through Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri.
"The runners come in and a lot come on the day before, which means they'll be doing hotel rooms and staying in the area," Patrick Tuttle, Joplin Convention & Visitor's Bureau.
