JOPLIN, MO.--- Greentown Joplin will team up with students at Drury University to construct an eco- home. It will showcase a wide range of energy efficient options, like reinforced concrete walls. 9 architecture students will spend the semester designing the house.
"We'll have a nice library. We'll have places where people can sit and watch things on large televisions and learn about different angles of sustainability, or they can get one on one consultation with staff and volunteers," states Catherine Hart, Greentown Joplin.
Greentown Joplin will start raising funds for the project in the summer with plans to start construction next fall.
