College Heights Christian School Missions Week

By: Rae Patterson
Updated: March 14, 2013
JOPLIN, MO.--- Students at College Heights Christian School are spending this entire week serving others. During the annual missions week, students go out into the community and perform a number community work projects for those in need.

This particular group of student spent the day repairing and replacing fences lost in the tornado. School leaders say the week long event is a learning opportunity for students.

"It doesn't always come easy, learning how to help people. So they get the experience, the time, the opportunity to learn how to do that. Do it once, once you do it, it's easier to do it again on your own," said Megan Calderon, College Heights Christian School.

School leaders say students set a great example for those out in the working world.
