Spring River Christian Village was fortunate enough to escape damage from the May 22nd tornado that went through Joplin, and it remains fully operational. Although the homes of 16 employees were severely damaged or completely lost, the lives of all Residents and staff members were spared.
Fortunately, SRCV has been able to accommodate several Seniors displaced by the tornado. As room is still available in the Independent Living Garden Homes and Apartments, as well as in the Skilled Nursing Facility, we will be able to help even more individuals during this time of need.
Chaplain Allen Brintnall has had the opportunity to minister too and encourage Residents who have family members affected by the storm. SRCV is thankful to be able to offer help coping with the trauma that often follows heart-wrenching disasters such as this.
